Dr. Thaddeus Camlin joined Practical Recovery in 2014. He completed undergraduate work in psychology and theology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He earned a master’s and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. He completed his graduate studies with an emphasis in integrative psychology and conducted his doctoral research on people who took ibogaine to interrupt a pattern of opiate use. An article based on his doctoral research was later published. He is a SMART Recovery facilitator and one of only a few certified CRAFT Therapists in California. Specific therapeutic modalities involve an integrated, individualized application of Existential, Humanistic, Jungian, and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT, DBT, ACT) methods.
